Customer Terms of Service

⚠️ PLACEHOLDER LEGAL TEXT — Not yet attorney-reviewed. These terms must be replaced with professionally drafted language before Kurbme accepts real customer bookings. By creating a booking on Kurbme, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Kurbme Is a Marketplace, Not a Service Provider
Kurbme, Inc. ("Kurbme", "we", "us") operates an online marketplace that connects customers ("you") with independent, third-party bin-cleaning service providers ("Providers"). Kurbme does not itself perform any cleaning services and is not responsible for the acts, omissions, quality, safety, or legality of any services performed by Providers. Each Provider is an independent contractor. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of Kurbme. Your service agreement for any cleaning is directly between you and the Provider.
2. Booking, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
When you submit a booking, Kurbme will match you with an available Provider. Bookings are confirmed once a Provider accepts. Cancellation and Refunds: • Cancellation more than 24 hours before the scheduled service: full refund of any charge. • Cancellation between 4 and 24 hours before the scheduled service: 50% refund. • Cancellation less than 4 hours before the scheduled service: no refund. • Cancellation by the Provider: full refund issued automatically. Refunds are returned to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear depending on your bank.
3. Payment Authorization
By saving a payment method to your Kurbme account, you authorize Kurbme (via its payment processor, Stripe) to charge that method for bookings you place. For recurring subscription plans, you authorize automatic renewal charges at the frequency you select (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) until you cancel. You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future charges but does not trigger a refund for the current billing period. Kurbme does not store your full card details — all payment information is held securely by Stripe, Inc.
4. Customer Conduct and Responsibilities
To ensure a safe and effective service, you agree to: • Ensure bins are accessible at the time of the scheduled service. If a Provider cannot access your bins, you may be charged for the attempted visit. • Provide an accurate service address. Bookings made with an incorrect address are not eligible for refunds. • Not place hazardous, medical, or biological waste in bins to be cleaned. • Treat all Providers with courtesy and respect. Abusive conduct toward Providers may result in account suspension.
5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kurbme shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or any services provided by Providers, including but not limited to damage to property during a service visit. Kurbme's total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Kurbme in the 90 days preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
6. Dispute Resolution

Kurbme will act as a neutral facilitator but cannot guarantee outcomes. For disputes with Kurbme itself, you agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting support@kurbme.com. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
7. Account Suspension and Termination
Kurbme may suspend or permanently terminate your account, at our sole discretion, for conduct including but not limited to: providing false information at registration, payment fraud, abusive behavior toward Providers, or repeated violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion initiates a soft-delete process: your personal information will be anonymized within 30 days, but transaction records required for legal or financial compliance are retained for the statutory period.
